Pattern Name/Number
Gypsophelia
Pattern Description
shirt
Which view and size did you make?
size 26
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
If not, why?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes
If not, why?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The sizing is off. I made the size I thought I needed based on my measurements compared to the Hot Patterns size chart. The shirt turned out huge! It is many times too large on me. The short sleeves are nearly long sleeves and I will need to take at least 8 inches and perhaps up to 12 inches out of the width. I was disappointed to put my time and effort and fabric into this shirt that failed so badly.
Fabric used
cotton knit
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend
This pattern is huge. Be sure to make it first with a muslin so you don't cry when it doesn't fit and also make it several sizes smaller than you think you need.
Would you sew this pattern again?
Maybe, if I can figure out how to adjust it to actually fit me. The shirt is cute and I believe I would enjoy wearing it if only it would fit.
Would you recommend this pattern to others?
No
