3-Hour Sundress Tutorial
http://sewcraftcreate.com/2010/08/made-by-you-wednesday-giveaway/
Pattern Description
Girls' sundress with button back and ruffle details tutorial.
Which view and size did you make?
Custom fit sizing. You create the pattern based on measurements and preferred hem length.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Mostly.
If not, why?
I made larger ruffles on the sleeves and did rolled hems for the ruffles instead of folding the strip for the top of the dress.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, but admittedly I changed a lot after deciding I wanted to use different techniques than those used. I liked the number of photos and step-by-step description of the process.
If not, why?

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I thought some of the way things were put together was odd. IMO, the way the bodice is done in the tutorial makes for a less crisp finished product.
Fabric used
Heavy quilter's cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend
I don't like relying on topstiching alone for seams so I did it by sandwiching the layers right sides together, sewing, turning, then topstiching. I also drafted the sleeve ruffle flat on one side (the hemmed side) and curved on the other (the gathered side) like other sleeve ruffles I've used.
Would you sew this pattern again?
Absolutely. It is a very cute pattern and looks great.
Would you recommend this pattern to others?
yes
