Ottobre design Pattern Name/Number
4/2012 #26 skinny jeans Pattern Description
skinny jeans with patch pockets Which view and size did you make?
I made size 134 but traced it slightly slimmer than size 128 for my skinny girl Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes If not, why?
- Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes If not, why?
- What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I did not like that it didn't have a yoked back piece, so I changed that. I wanted these to have a more authentic "jeans" look and to me, that part is essential. Fabric used
cotton/lycra twill Pattern alterations or any design changes you made or would recommend
Split the back piece up slightly, creating a yoke. I also changed the fly front to use my standard method (Sandra Betzinas THREADS video method). Would you sew this pattern again?
Yes Would you recommend this pattern to others?
Yes Any additional comments
I thought this pattern ran a little short. My first pants fit her well but with no room for a growth spurt (she really only gets taller, not bigger around). The second pair I cut a bit longer, I would go up at least one size in length. Did you SNS what you made from this pattern? If so, add a link to your SNS here.
