How to Couch Ric-Rac in a Seam

I took pictures for this several months ago, but I forgot to make the tutorial. I found the pictures a couple of days ago so I decided to put it all together. This is a cute look for holiday clothes.

did you topstitch the ric rack down or topstitch the seam allowance on the other side of the ric-rac?

You are stitching through the half of the ric-rac that isn't seen so you are stitching through that entire seam. You don't need to do anything to the exposed ric-rac.
