This top is the pattern, but lengthened considerably into a tunic/short dress. In it's original form, it leaves the belly button and about an inch above it bare on my kids. I personally don't like that look, sooo lengthened to a dress.

The pattern calls for very stretchy knit. It ideally would also have better recovery than a typical knit (i.e., lots of lycra) because the neckline, sleeves and bottom are rolled hem with nothing else. I left that on my tunic but put a neckband on the top as this knit did not have great recovery. Plus I'm not a fan of the no finish or just rolled hem neckline. Just personal preference there.

The pattern shines with a nice close fit, so I kept that part about it.
