Not linen at all (I used a lightweight poly knit from fabric.com) but definitely a recommended pattern. Totally simple, just two pieces, and the neckline drapes into a cowl-shape all by itself! Nifty!

The one caution I would give is that you be very tidy when hemming the neckline (or use your coverstitcher if you have one!). The inside is easy to see (because of the way the top drapes open) when the top is worn and any sloppy bobbin work is noticeable.
