I made these with a home decor cotton, not as outerwear, but as tough play/crawler wear in size 68. Omitted the side snaps. Facing is fine wale cord.

It's been a while since my DD wore these, but I remember they had a nice fit, not so wide as I would have expected for outerwear. So I might recommend sizing up if you are making them for outdoor or over-regular-clothes wear.

Again, for a friend's baby. Outer is fine-wale cord, or maybe velveteen? Inner a quilting cotton.
