They were still a tad big, but probably a combination of my son's build and I should have went down 1 size. I added buttonhole elastic to the waistband, and he wore these for a LONG time. They really were more flattering than the pictures thank goodness. I highly recommend this pattern for slim boys.

I made these in 116 but with the wavy details from design 29. I love them but I still end up doing a faux fly and elasticizing the waist because my kid is a twig!
I *love* this pattern for using up bits and scraps of corduroy.
I got tired of using the patch-style front pockets and switched to a regular pants pocket on some pairs though, which doesn't really require major modifications.
On pairs for my own skinny kid, I forgo the fly, sew it closed, and do an elastic waist. He has no butt so he doesn't use the fly on pants anyhow.
