This was my go-to short pattern last summer, though I add a good amount of length - at least 2". It's also GREAT lengthened out into pants.

Love this pattern. My guy is a thin RTW 24mths. Usually the waist is too big. I cut an 86 w/ seam allowance and the fit was perfect.

in 92cm and girly-fied. i made the bottom part a bit flared so i can gather it with bias tape to create a somewhat bubble shorts look. i also omitted all the pockets and did side pockets. i used FOE for waistband and works great!
